今日の２・３時間目にくちっこ園と合同でさつまいもの苗植えがありました。今年度も「シルクスイート」と「紅はるか」の２種類の苗植えを行いました。口之島で初めてさつまいもの苗植えをする児童生徒も多くいました。２学期には「さつまいも掘り」を予定しています。たくさんのさつまいもが取れるのを今から楽しみにしています。また，事前の耕運や畝作りは島民のＳさんがしてくださいました。ありがとうございました。
Today during the second and third periods, our school held its sweet potato planting event. Our students planted two different kinds of sweet potato today. It was the first time planting sweet potatoes here on Kuchinoshima for many of the students this year. During the second semester, we will harvest the fully grown potatoes. We are looking forward to this harvest! We would like to thank Mr. S, an islander who helped us till, and form the soil.
